Good evening and welcome back to another post from ToBeSecured everyone. On yesterday, I dropped a video via my Instagram page and decided I'll be releasing content every week again. As the school semester is coming to an end, I'll have more time to prepare and have topics to discuss. The topics I covered on yesterday were about the IRS having access to our personal information as well as the pyramid schemes. The pyramid schemes are also known as blessing looms, gifting looms, blessing circles, and the well-known 'bingo'. Head over to my Instagram to watch the content and feel free to like, comment, and share!
So today's post will be a short one due to the fact it's late and I want to get in the habit of creating content that is short and straight to the point. I know I can't be the only one who's caught off guard by Siri when she thinks you spoke a command. One thing about interacting with technology and being in the tech field is that you're constantly learning, not only from the technology, but from your peers as well. I know a lot of people whose jobs or lives in general involve sensitive information.
One major tip I want to share with you all today is to disable Siri on your iPhone. This can be disabled in your settings>Siri & Search and from there you can disable (Listen for "Hey Siri"), (Allow Siri when locked), as well as Siri suggestions. By doing this, she/he won’t automatically trigger at odd moments, and she/he won't accidentally listen to something you wouldn't want anyone else to hear (private conversations). Although Apple has a good policy make requests anonymous, there's still a risk of a person intercepting it.
