Weirdos on the Internet: Twitter

Good evening and welcome back to another post from ToBeSecured. On yesterday's episode of Cyber Tuesdays, I discussed the new iOS updates that were released during the pandemic, iOS 13.4 at the end of March and the latest - 13.4.1 last week or so. Head over to my Instagram page which you can locate at the footer of this page and watch the video to gain some insight. On today's post, I'm going to tell you guys about a Twitter post I came across and how people on the internet are real creeps.

So on last week, as I was scrolling through Twitter I came across a tweet that read "I lost all my pictures and videos" and the person seemed really hurt about it. After scrolling through the comments, I'm assuming one of their followers (more than sure a stalker) decided to drop some of the pictures under the post with the statement "here are a couple of them! now, don't ask why I got these? lmao" as if having the pictures weren't weird enough.

This is just an example of the risks that comes with having a public page or having a private page and accepting strangers' friend requests. They have the access to your content, friends, family members, and whatever else information they may want from you. It's an invasion of privacy as well as just plain creepy/dangerous if someone becomes a stalker. What's even worse is the person bargaining for a good price to pull all the photos from Instagram and send it to them. How do you bargain with someone for THEIR pictures?

Next Wednesday I'm going to discuss another tweet I came across about the IRS and the stimulus checks so be on the lookout for that.
